PATCH/api/v1/device-registry/inventory/:inventory_id
Procurement fields only — status is absent from the schema entirely,
not merely ignored if sent, same pattern §7 asks for on the device
PATCH: a field excluded from the request model is a field with nowhere
to accidentally get wired up.
